CityKinder LLC was established in 2010 by Gabi Hegan, a Munich native living in NYC since 1999, in order to serve expats and their families living and working in the New York City metro area. What started as a one-woman-show has since grown into a lifestyle and community platform run by a team of (mostly) moms who share the expat experience with all it’s joys and challenges. It is our mission to support and accompany, guide and help German-speaking expats to settle in their new environment.
From the get-go we believed that community building cannot happen exclusively online and therefore made it our goal to create opportunities for mixing and mingling among each other and with all types of businesses that service our community.
We are also the proud host of the annual ICH BIN EXPAT FAIR in New York City in cooperation with the German American Chamber of Commerce and with the support of the Austrian and Swiss American Chambers.
When selecting exhibitors and sponsors for the ICH BIN EXPAT FAIR we are committed to creating an event that gives our expats a wide variety of businesses and services to discover and connect with. Our speakers will provide additional information and inspiration to make the most out living in a different country.
