Pooh!!  No wonder they're called Stink Pipes! The fermentation process in a septic tank produces a mixture of odourous gasses that includes Methane. These gasses need to be safely vented to atmosphere, hence your ventilation pipe. Unfortunately, they are often badly sited and, as a result, Nasty Niffs can sometimes find there way to your patio or BBQ area. The STUDOR® MAXI-FILTRA™ is an Activated Carbon filter designed to eliminate bad odours produced by the drainage system. Easily fitted to your existing vent pipe, its replaceable filter cartridge allows the system to "breathe" but prevents the Sulphides that create the odours from reaching the atmosphere.

Although initially designed for use with septic tanks, the STUDOR® MAXI-FILTRA™ has been sucessfully installed in many other applications including: packaged treatment systems, holding tanks, basement lifting stations, pump chambers and drainage vent pipes.
