For some years the EHDC has organised a big dragonboat event every September; in which not only the best teams of Holland participate, but also teams from Germany, Czechoslovakia and other countries.
Races are held for the open class across 200, 500 and 2.000 meters, for the Dutch teams the races count towards the annual NDBF-cup series. The races are held on the national rowing complex ‘De Bosbaan’, in the beautiful atmosphere of a the Amsterdamse Bos, a large public wood and parklands located south-west of Amsterdam.
