French cultural Center

Who are we?  Since its opening in 1990, the Alliance Francaise, which became the Center for Cultural and Linguistic Cooperation, and then the French Cultural Center of Cambodia in 1992, is an essential attraction in the domain of artistic and linguistic cooperation.

Mission and Vocation:
The French Cultural Center of Cambodia is a space for encounters and exchanges intended to promote French culture as well as new Khmer creation and to increasing the influence of francophone culture in all its diversity.  All activities sponsored by the French Cultural Center are part of a strategy of cooperation with local partners.  Its intent is to continue to be an essential part of the cultural life of Cambodia and a show-window for French savoir-faire.

Its 4 areas of competence are:
>Cultural activities:  several exhibitions in the course of a year (with guided visits) and various festivals covering the whole of the artistic field:  plastic arts, dance, circus, music, theatre…
>Audiovisual promotion:  by means of 23 annual festivals, “Cinema on the Road,” (screenings of French films dubbed in Khmer in 14 provinces of Cambodia), and free screenings at the Cinema Theater of the CCF or out of doors.
