What is the purpose of the Swedish School?

Swedish School of Beijing supports the teaching of Scandinavian culture and language in general and
Swedish culture and language in particular.

Whom does the Swedish School serve?

It was established for Swedish families but it also serves the Norwegian, Danish and Finnish ex-patriot
communities as well, in order to support their children's continued connection with their native language and customs.

What is the language of instruction?

Language of instruction is Swedish. Children who attend this school need to have knowledge about
Swedish or another Scandinavian language.

I am an ex-patriot Chinese parent. Can my children come to Swedish School?

There is no passport requirement for families whose children attend the Swedish School, however at
least one in the family, one of the parents or the child, must be fluent in one of the Scandinavian
languages, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish in order for their children to be accepted for admission.
