Ciao Italia

CIAO ITALIA is a centre which specialises in teaching Italian to foreigners. It is a member of ASILS, an organization representing the best Italian language schools worldwide. CIAO ITALIA was founded by accredited teachers working in this field for more than 20 years.

The school has been recognized by the Bildungsurlaub in Germany. The school is located in the historic centre of Rome, in the characteristic quarter of Monti, within walking distance of the Colosseum, the Fori, Via Nazionale and the Central Railway Station. The "Repubblica" stop of the underground A line and the"Cavour" stop of "B" line are very close to the school.

• Ciao Italia is open the whole year round and offers courses of Italian for foreigners for all levels from beginners to advanced Intensive/extensive, group/individual, business, conversation, CILS and IT exam Preparation, art, Italian opera singing, cooking and painting vacation courses in Tuscany.

• The didactic methods used by Ciao Italia were elaborated by the Director and the teachers after years of experience gained in this field. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere encourages quick and easy learning of the language in small-sized classes. The teaching program is uniform. The teachers, all native speakers, are highly qualified in the teaching of Italian as a second language. Each teacher uses the communicative approach with an analysis of grammatical structures and the language of daily life. A wide variety of up-to-date authentic material is used and among the techniques employed in class are: work in pair or in group and dramatisation. The teaching structure breaks down into 5 levels.

• The schools offers an interesting social programme consisting of film shows introduced by the teacher, lectures, lunches with the teachers, guided tours by an art historian, excursions outside of Rome as well as special prices for theatres, opera, concerts, restaurants and sports-clubs. Many of the above activites are free of charge including internet facilities.

• CIAO ITALIA can find, upon request, selected and well-connected rooms for the students in shared flats or in bed&breakfast. Many of the rooms include use of the kitchen.

• Upon request transfer service can be organized from Fiumicino or Ciampino airport.
