Hispanic Studies at the University of Barcelona (EH)

With nearly sixty years of experience, the department of Hispanic Studies (EH) is the center responsible for language teaching (by the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR) and Hispanic Culture for foreign students.

The University of Barcelona (UB) is a leading Spanish public university, and was recognized as the first campus of International Excellence.

Students come from over one hundred countries and from every continent. At any one time, around 2,000 students are enrolled in courses.

Spanish courses are held throughout the year, with specific programs for autumn-winter, spring and summer.

The faculty of professors is university based. All teachers are licensed, with a Masters or Doctorate qualification, and are specialized in the subjects they teach.  

EH also produces and uses its own publications for Spanish as a foreign language, and is an examination center for the DELE qualifications (Diploma in Spanish Foreign Language) from the Cervantes Institute.
