Soon after the London Armenian Community Trust was formed in 1961, it acquired a building at 25 Cheniston Gardens, Kensington and called it "The Armenian House" . The Armenian House became a centre for community life where social and cultural meetings took place.
The first Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Europe was established in London in October 1992 within the premises of the "Armenian House".
